Durga Chigurupati has been a member of the Cleveland community for more than 20 years, where she relocated after marriage. She has pursued education at Case Western Reserve University and biomedical research at University Hospitals. While taking time off to care for her family of 5, she pursued a lifelong passion for education and service. Throughout these years, she has honed fundraising skills and developed a network of contacts throughout the community. She has served in numerous community and non-profit organizations where she continues to actively volunteer. She serves on the boards of Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio, YWCA - Greater Cleveland, Women in Sports and Events, the Cleveland Chapter of the International Special Events Society, and the Federation of India Community Associations (FICA). She also serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the Worldwide Communication Center at Hathaway Brown School and as a Corporation Member at Hathaway Brown.
With skills accumulated from years of experience, Durga parlayed her passion for events, her critical attention to detail, and her love of Northeast Ohio into her dream company, Adhya Productions. Her passion for organization, her meticulous concern for excellence, and her sense of style make her a natural in the event-planning industry. Since launching Adhya Productions in 2006, Durga has not only planned events, but has also engaged in professional development in floral design and in the marketing and management of sports events. She is a certified wedding planner, and she has gained recognition as a Distinguished Professional Bridal Consultant by the Association of Bridal Consultants, ABC. She strives to stay abreast of the latest innovations and trends by regularly participating in national conferences and industry tradeshows.
An energetic and committed member of local chapters of multiple national industry organizations in the Cleveland area, Durga has quickly earned the respect of her peers and enjoys excellent working relationships with vendors throughout the industry. She believes fully in an all-encompassing, concierge level of service. This vision, combined with the success of her initial foray and the requests of her clients, led her to expand Adhya Productions to offer fine stationery and gifts, in addition to floral design. Durga's discerning eye and knack for unique touches make working with Adhya Productions a truly unique and pleasurable experience.
